Ty Gay Builders, Inc. (formerly Ty Gay Construction Co. Inc.) was established in 1989 by Ty A. Gay. A native of Kinston, NC, Ty is no stranger to the building industry as he has worked in construction which was the family business from a very early age. He gained a wealth of knowledge from this hands-on experience and from the people he worked along with over the years.
While Ty Gay Builders, Inc.’s office is located in Kinston, North Carolina, we have built in various surrounding areas. We have worked as close as Goldsboro, LaGrange, Snow Hill, Greenville and Deep Run and as far away as New Bern, Oriental, Minnesott Beach and Swansboro. Our service community includes the counties of Lenoir, Wayne, Jones, Greene, Pitt, Duplin, Pamlico, Craven and Carteret.
We are a General Contracting firm that specializes in custom built homes, but we do not put a size limit on the work that we take on. From the 1200 to the 6,000 square foot house, each project is handled with the same type of care and understanding that we are not just building a house, we have been entrusted with helping someone create their DREAM HOME. We also do home renovations and additions but our type of service does not stop there. We have taken on such projects as churches, office buildings, duplexes, townhomes and condominiums.

Whether you need an estimate or a contract, we provide a detailed set of specifications to you by taking the time to meet with you and fully discuss your wants and needs and to answer any questions you may have. We also furnish new customers with Customer Guidelines that direct you through the entire construction process.
